A Literature Inspired Black Tea Blend
This vanilla black tea blend is inspired by ‘The Lies of Locke Lamora’, a book written by Scott Lynch and published in 2006. Scott Lynch is a master of convoluted stories and spins them beautifully with intricate detail. His characters intriguing and plentiful.
Locke Lamora was an orphan who was sold to a band of thieves and tricksters known as the Gentlemen Bastards. They may have learned how to dress, speak, and act like gentlemen, but they were everyday thieves for sure. Because Locke was a master of disguise and deception, he was very convincing, and very successful. So much so that he was nicknamed the Thorn of Camorr. What a legitimately mysterious epithet for someone so young.
‘Tea of Light’ was in the silver tea pot and Gilles used it to pour Dona Vorchenza a glass of this steaming liquid that glowed with orange radiance. When she sipped the tea it smelled of vanilla and orange blossoms.
You too can feel like you are an intimate part of Dona Vorchenza and Dona Salvara’s discussion of the ‘Thorn of Camorr’ with this black tea blend that is brimming with sweet, creamy, smooth vanilla and subtle orange yumminess. The aroma of this tea reminds you of an orange creamsicle like you used to get from the neighborhood ice cream truck.
The orange peel in this vanilla black tea blend is full of vitamin C and releases pectin which has been shown to lower cholesterol and blood pressure, as well as boosting the immune system. Try this creamy orange delight iced as well for a real treat!

Phenomenal tea! If you like orange creamsicle you’ll love it. Not only will I have to check out this book but I’ll have to buy a bigger bag next time!

Absolutely magical tea! Smells sweet and inviting. The vanilla and orange flavors are more subtle than the smell so it doesn’t overpower the tea.

Smells decadently of vanilla and oranges. Even though I steeped it too long (user error) it was a lovely way to start the morning.
