An Outlander Inspired Black Earl Grey Tea Blend
This black Earl Grey tea blend is inspired by Claire Randall in the Diane Gabaldon novels and the series Outlander on Starz.
One day, Claire is simply collecting flowers at Craigh na Dun (a completely fictional circle of standing stones) on a trip to Scotland, and the next she falls through the stones and finds herself in 1743 in the middle of a battle between Highlanders and British officers, one of which looks eerily similar to her husband Frank. Lucky for Jamie she is a nurse and a very quick thinker!
Wow, what a thrill ride, right? I don’t even know what I would have done if faced with a mysterious jump back in time while I was looking at rocks, picking pretty flowers, and where are the bloody women’s restrooms? Although she should have known something was up when she saw a group of Druids performing a ritual at that very same stone circle.
All I can say is it’s a good thing Claire had this tea blend in her pocket as well as a gemstone, you can’t expect a good cup of black tea as your falling through stones into 1743. On the positive side, this Earl Grey blend with lemongrass and roses has a light sweet, floral taste and with the addition of vitamin C rich rose hips, your immune system will get the help it needs and the be able to fight off those foreign invaders
Shouldn’t we all be sitting in an English garden, sipping Thru the Standing Stones, not playing with rocks?

This is a nice, subtly flavored tea that is very relaxing. The rose and lemon are not overpowering and let the taste of the tea really come through. I prefer a more strongly flavored cup myself, like the Seventh Doctor tea, but my teen daughter loves it, especially with a spoonful of rose infused sugar.

All of the Earl Grey blends Happy Turtle offers are delicious. This one is a lighter, more subtle flavor. It’s perfect for relaxing when I don’t want a boldly flavored tea. I absolutely love it.
